Naranja Town Site
The Naranja Town Site (NTS) is the name given to a 213-acre parcel located between Tangerine Road and Naranja Drive about one mile east of La Canada Drive. Oro Valley purchased the property and commissioned a master plan for a multigenerational community recreation facility at the site. The main entrance would be on Tangerine Road, with additional access from Naranja Drive.

FundingThe initial phase of the NTS would be developed through funds generated from a bond. On Nov. 4, 2008, Oro Valley residents will be asked to vote on a ballot question that would allow the town of Oro Valley to issue a maximum of $48.6 million in bonds to fund the initial phase of construction. The approval of the bond issue by voters in the proposed amount will result in an estimated maximum secondary property tax for Oro Valley homeowners and business owners of $.52 per $100 assessed market value.
